5:21 pm - job was fun
Well, I quit Ann Taylor. However, before I quit, I probably spent about $300 on clothes from there. Gotta love the discount. I didn't buy clothes from my store because we didn't have anything cute, but instead went to the Loft. It's been a week and a half since I quit and wow am I loving this. I've been actually excited (sad, yes) about doing laundry and the house desperately needed to be cleaned (still gotta work on that). I just used to be so drained from working (even dept. stores are stressful) because being on my feet all day, having one of the three bosses on your back asking you what are you doing and why aren't you moving around the store asking clients if they are ok or folding clothes or putting clothes back that are sitting in the wardrobe (fitting) room that clients didn't want. If they would just leave you alone, then it wouldn't be so bad, but they can't do that. That's what you get for working in a small store where there's maybe 6 people working at one time. (Totally unrelated, but how funny is the scene in Talledga Nights when Ricky Bobby is making out with Susan in the back of the bar? fav scene.) So for those of you out there who are working petty jobs I feel for you. It sucks when you've just folded this nice stack of shirts and some idiot comes and picks one up (while you are still at that table folding) and then just plops it back down and smiles at you. UGH! Let me just tell you that I usually just walk away.

Anyways life is good. Now I get to enjoy spending time with my husband. Finally getting my hair highlight and it desperately needed it. Also gotta spray tan for a wedding coming up in two weeks. I need to get a pedicure. Then that next weekend (Aug 11) I'm going to see Brad Paisley in concert along with Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler (the American Idol girl) and Jack Ingram. Life is good!!!

2:46 pm - victoria beckham
Most Britains are fascinated with her, but as an American the only thing I knew about her was that she was a Spice Girl. Last night I watched her special on NBC. I have to say I was amazed at how much I liked her and how down to earth she is. First, Perez Hilton is saying crap about her, so what does she do? She goes to find him and has a chat with him about it. Second, she drives. Well she wants to. So she goes out driving to practice, and gets pulled over by the cops. She goes to the DMV to get her license. She's astonished that she can't proof her photo nor have a reshoot. (Now when I was 15, I hated my pic so the lady let me take another one). Her assistant tried to help her on the written exam (which the guy almost caught her). She's very down to earth and is actually funny. One thing I enjoyed was when she interviewed her new assistant. Before the girl arrived, Posh made it clear to her friends (and America) that she didn't want a skinny, beautiful girl. She didn't want to take the attention from her. Also, as a married woman, you don't want that temptation around your husband nor do you want someone who's trying to get with your husband. She was honest and hysterical. I hated this wasn't going to be a series, but instead turned out to be a one hour special. This woman may be worth billions, but she acts like the rest of us. Except she has hair and makeup people (but they are her closet friends).

10:42 pm - music and lyrics
So today was my day off. I had rented Music & Lyrics from amazon.com. I decided since my husband wasn't home that I would watch it. I knew he wouldn't dare watch it. It screamed chick flick, which it was. I thought I would kinda like it. OMG I love this movie. I was surprised at how much I liked it. And I'm so glad I didn't make my hubby watch it. I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it. For those who haven't seen it, you definately should. Drew Barrymore was good in it.

2:24 pm - June
ok wow it's been about a month since I've been here. Well my parents just visitedso that was fun! Also, I've been working alot. I'm loving the clothes and have probably spent way too much. The beach here is beautiful. I've cut my days from 4 to 3 so I'll finally get to enjoy being down here. I haven't really had a chance to just go to the beach alot. I need to work on my tan. I hate it's freaking 8 months until Lost returns. But I'm hoping there are some good fall shows.

now I'm dreading the job somewhat. The drive is about 40 mins because I have to travel through Destin and there's lots of tourists. I hate being on my feet all day. When I get home, my feet ache. I'm hoping this will go away.

I am excited about the finale of Lost next week, but not anxious to hear Jack say I Love You to Kate. I'm hoping it's edited and that's publicity to get people to turn in. Let's pray that's the case!

3:19 pm - I got a job!
I am now a proud worker at Ann Taylor. I start on Tuesday. Pay is good and clothes are half price (the reason for the job). I'm going to enjoy the summer at the beach and working part time at a clothing store. This is what I didn't get to do after high school. I had to get a real job then, and now I actually get paid more to work retail!

12:18 am - tonight
So tonight I convinced my husband to go down to the beach to walk and enjoy the sound of the waves. Well we saw about 3 stingrays swimming together. With the lights from the hotels and the water being shallow, you could see them clear in the distance. I know I saw a dolphin flip. I saw something flip so I assumed. We also saw a crab and I was a little cautious when the tide was washing it our way. I didn't want to get bit by a crab on my feet. Well it's a beautiful night.

The bad thing is our air went out today which sucks. It was only getting hotter in here. Hopefully when the man comes in the morning, he will be able to fix it. I got an interview with Ann Taylor and Jones of New York tomorrow. Hope I get something good. I know I should probably get a better job, but I want something part time and I will get generous discounts on clothes, which is always good.

11:40 pm - tonight..well today..well this weekend
First, I'm sucky at coming up with titles. I usually try to write them first on a blog and then what I write has nothing to do with the title. This weekend was great. We had to go back to clean our old apartment so they wouldn't charge us cleaning fees. That's the one sucky thing about living in an apartment. It has to be spotless when you leave. Saturday night was the big night. Good friends of ours got married this weekend. It was the first time I've been to a Jewish wedding. It was different. We arrived and stayed at the reception for an hour and fifteen minutes. The bride and groom had yet to show up. We went to see Sugarland. That was an awesome concert. We arrived back at the reception (to see the bride and groom) and it was only 11. We had left at 9. Everyone had pretty much left. Sucked for the bride and groom. However, we were able to spend some time with them and a few friends. It was a great wedding and reception. Today, we came home. I can't wait until we are able to have a weekend here by ourselves. I want to see the dolphin show. Have been since March since we first came down here.

7:38 pm - CMT music awards

I love country music. Always have. Here are a few clips from last night's show.

Sugarland performs Stay, which is my favorite song off their album. We are going to see them in a week.

Also Taylor Swift won for breakthrough artist. She has an amazing voice.

1:43 pm - Friday the 13th

After the buildup of Wednesday's Lost and then watching the amazing show, I forgot about tonight.  One of the radio stations here is having a birthday bash.  Among the many performers coming, my favorite group "The Wreckers" will be here.  I first heard them on One Tree Hill, but I loved Michelle Branch back when she was a solo artist.

9:24 am - Remember the days
I was out this morning at 8am.  It was about 59 degrees.  There was a slight breeze, but it wasn't just a normal breeze.  It was the morning breeze with a little bit of moisture in the air.  It reminded me of elementary school when we would have field day.  I remember we would get outside about 8:30 in the middle of May.  You knew the day would get hot, but first thing in the morning when we would be setting up our area, it was cool.

current mood: at peace

2:08 pm - Wednesday
I have to say..Wednesday is my favorite day of the week now!  I love Lost.  I love that it's coming on every week.  No waiting.  Tonight's episode is going to be the best ever.  It's all about Juliet (an Other).  It's going to reveal so much about the Others that we have yet to learn about.  My husband thinks I'm crazy for how I'm so obsessed with this show.  I'm sorry, but it rocks!  Favorite line that I saw from a clip:  Jack said to Sayid "She's under my protection."  Talking about Juliet.  They are going to get together as long as Jack continues to trust her and she doesnt' prove to be out to hurt him.

Well it's 7 hours and counting.  I've got to distract myself until then.  Don't want to read the spoilers to find out what happens tonight.

2:47 pm - Prospects of moving
Well, we are supposed to be moving to Florida in the next 3 weeks.  We have no place to live because we haven't found a place we like.  It's such a pain in the ass to move.  We have so much stuff.  I have no desire to pack up.  The only good thing about where we will be moving is..the beach!  It will be so nice to live on the beach.  I fell in love again with the beach on my honeymoon in Hawaii.  If Hawaii wasn't all the way on the other side of the world, we would definately move there.
